| Milwaukee Factory Reconditioned Tool FAQ
(Frequently Asked Questions)
What Is A Factory Reconditioned Tool? Milwaukee Factory Reconditioned Tools are tools that have been returned, for any reason, within the 30 day return policy of mass merchandisers such as Lowes and Home Depot. These tools are shipped back to the Milwaukee Factory where they are almost always found to be in perfect working order. However, each tool is inspected, tested, and should there be a defect, it is repaired at the Milwaukee Factory by Milwaukee's Factory Technicians. The tools are then repackaged with a new warranty certificate, the same warranty that comes with new tools. When we receive these tools we inspect and test them a second time to insure that you receive the best in quality. We sell these tools at an average of 25% - 30% below national wholesale. Most look brand new or have only minor blemishes. All are guaranteed to perform as a new tool, a guarantee that is backed by over 800+ Milwaukee Warranty Service Centers coast to coast. Why are there small letters inscribed on the reconditioned tools? Milwaukee inscribes "RK" on all Factory Reconditioned products. These letters are approx. 3/16" high and are inscribed in a discrete location. Milwaukee does this so that the products are not mistakenly sold as new tools. The "R" stands for "Reconditioned" and the "K" stands for "Kosciusko", which is the name of the Milwaukee Factory where the tools are reconditioned. Why does the last part of the catalog number say "-8" instead of "-1", "-2" or "-6"? Milwaukee's catalog numbers can be confusing. New products are"-1", "-2" or "-6"; for example a new Right Angle Drill is a "3107-6" when it's reconditioned it becomes a "3107-8". A new 18V Lok-Tor cordless drill is a "0622-24" when it's reconditioned it becomes a "0622-84". What if I lose my warranty card? Milwaukee Tools do not need to have a warranty card filled out to "activate" a warranty. To have an item repaired under warranty you simply take it to an Authorized Warranty Service Center and present them with your sales invoice. Milwaukee's products come with a 5-year Warranty, the longest warranty of any of the electric tool manufacturers. You can however join Milwaukee's Heavy Duty Club and register your tools online. Do you only sell the tools listed on your site? No, Milwaukee manufactures over 200 different tools, we list only the most popular (best selling) tools on our site. However, we can get any of Milwaukee's tools as a Factory Reconditioned product and if you would like pricing or availability on a Milwaukee tool that you don't see listed on our site, you can contact us via email to submit a special request. E-mail a special request. How can I get my Milwaukee Tool repaired under warranty? You can either send the tool and your original sales invoice to us to have it repaired under warranty or you can call Milwaukee's customer service at 800-729-3878 to get the number for a Factory Authorized Service Center near you. How can I get my Milwaukee Tools reconditioned? You can't, as stated above, only tools that were returned within the first 30-days of purchase can be Factory Reconditioned.
